Graffiti Wall (Castle Hill, Austin, Texas)

For some reason, once you live in a city for a while, you stop really appreciating certain things.

I have lived in Austin for four years and still gaze in wonderment at Town Lake and our city skyline, but I’ve stopped noticing the artiness of our town. For instance, right downtown near the Whole Foods and the skate park and my boss’s house, there is a huge lot with lots of cement walls COVERED in graffiti.

I finally hiked up the other day under the excuse of showing our guest Derek, but I realized I should be up here chilling all the time! It’s a great view of our city, and a colorful backdrop to a life well lived.
