There is a lesson I have learned the hard way in the last year.
(And by lesson, I also kind of mean first world problem.)
There have been three different eyeshadow palettes that I have fallen in love with and waited too long to order, and then the companies stopped selling them. The palettes, in case you’re as much of a make up nerd as I am, were the Tarte Aqualillies, Sigma Creme de Couture, and Make Up Forever Technicolor eyeshadow kits.
I decided I wasn’t going to lose another potential palette to the same procrastination fate in 2014.
I saw the Tarte Be MATTE-nificent palette on Reddit’s make up forum and fell in love. First, all of the colors are matte, which is great, since I prefer color pay-off over shimmer in my daily looks. Second, the colors included are more than enough for a total look, meaning this is the only palette I’d need to take with me traveling!
I love that there’s a blush, and some nice highlights. The brush is great as well. It’s a little big (a LOT bigger than I expected, actually), and I already scratched the cool geode case in my school bag. The pigmentation is really rich. It has a great mirror for touch ups, and I absolutely love the eggplant shade in the upper right corner.
You can buy it at Sephora or Ulta. It’s $36.
Okay, now go get one for yourself!
