Nail Art & Second Books

Lately, my life has been filled with school work (it’s that time in the semester- ouch) and writing my second book. I can’t get enough of one and wish the other would go away.

I have been spending many happy hours here at my writing desk.

My partner and I salvaged my giant 4-foot wide executive desk from a trash pile last summer. We spotted it at an office that had moved locations. I love it! Although I am still not sure how we fit it into his small car. I have enough space to really spread my stuff out and focus on my work. I’ve already passed the 100 page mark– yay!

In my spare time, I’ve been getting really into nail art, too.

Here are some of my favorite manicures that I’ve done. My best two are the last two- I love doing flowers!

I’m not great at it yet, but it’s always fun to find a new hobby… And a new way to let my mind wander when I’m coming up on a sticky plot point.

If you want to keep up with me while my writing pulls me away from this blog (And I really am sorry about the lack of posting!! it’s just one of those things. I can’t seem to do my blogging and my book on the same day- my brain gets exhausted! Just like I can’t do chemistry homework and read for pleasure on the same nights)…

Happy April! We finally made it to spring!
