Hey everyone!

About two years ago, I wrote a little post about my top ten favorite nail polishes. Since then, a LOT has changed in my life. Since two summers ago, my partner and I moved from a raggedy little 1950s house to a gorgeous apartment without roommates! I finished my second book and started therapy, which I recommend to everyone (especially EMDR), and stopped buying all my clothes from Forever 21. I also apparently have COMPLETELY different nail polish tastes. I can’t quite believe my old favorites list. I was anti-Essie, which is just crazy to me now. This will be a very different list than that last one, so let’s dive in!

I also made sure to take nice photos of each and every color (unlike my last one- oops!), and worked hard on this post. Please enjoy!!

MY TOP TEN:

I really, really deliberated over this! My current collection is about 90 polishes, so narrowing it down to my ten true favorites was sooo hard. Unlike last time, I’m going to RANK THEM, too! Here we go!

10. Essie: BIKINI SO TEENY

Here’s my simple review for this color: When I get engaged, this is the color I will wear to show off my ring. Boom. What more can you want from a color????? For real???? Love it.

9. China Glaze: FLIP FLOP FANTASY

This was one of two that made it from my original top 10 list! This is also one of the few colors I’ve rebought many, many bottles of over the years. It’s a delicious, neon, summer peach. You need this one for sunny days. Trust me.

8. OPI: LOOK AT MY BOW

This is one of those deliciously girly colors that I just adore. I sometimes think that if I had to take just one color on vacation, it might be this one. It’s girly, eye-catching, unique, and goes with everything. I never want to take this one off!!

7. OPI: SUZI LOVES THE COWBOYS

I used to think this was my favorite nail polish color of all time. I would wear it every time I traveled, and it still holds a special place in my heart. I also consider it one of the best brown nail polishes on the market.

6. OPI: MALAGA WINE

This is a color I debated buying for YEARS. I knew it was classic, and figured it belonged in my collection, but always passed it by. I must have dupes, I thought. It’s probably pretty similar to other dark, merlot reds. But of course, when I finally picked it up, I realized there’s nothing like this in my collection. It looks stunning on, and if you’re over 30, you need this shade. It is so classy and sophisticated, with a dreamy formula.

5. Orly: FANCY FUCSHIA

Ah, this was on my old list. What a perfect Barbie pink. I just did a whole blog post on this one, as well. Lovely formula and zippy color.

4. Morgan Taylor: POP-ARAZZI POSE

Scott picked this color out for me. To me, it was just another hot pink from a brand I hadn’t heard of! Now, however, Morgan Taylor is one of my favorite polish brands and this is my second bottle of this color- and I need a third!

3. Essie: MINT CANDY APPLE

Incredible, unique color and perfect formula. If you don’t have this one, it’s a must-have.

2. OPI: LINCOLN PARK AFTER DARK

When I was visiting my nail polish obsessed aunt in New Jersey, she had this one in her stash. I tried it and fell in love. And why wouldn’t I? Everyone agrees this is one of the best nail polishes of all time. It’s not black, but it’s dark and sexy. Do NOT skip your glossy top coat with this one, though!

1. OPI: FASHION A BOW

Here it is! My number one favorite nail polish. This is from the Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani collection. It is an orange based red, and I feel beautiful when I have this on my nails. Oh, and also… IT’S A ONE COAT WONDER!!!! One coat and a top coat and you are done. How amazing is that? It’s a lot poppier and brighter than other reds in my collection.
