My Favorite High Waisted Jeans + ATX Adventures

Hi everyone!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw these jeans on Forever 21’s website. I consider myself a great online shopper, and I could tell on sight that they were going to look so cool in person. I snapped them up, and soon they were out of stock.

Railroad stripe denim that seriously defines high waisted? Yes, please. My boss called these my party pants, and my coworkers always complimented the 1970s vibe when I wore them. I love to pair them with platform sandals and a hippie tee shirt, too.

The elephant cropped tee from Brandy Melville really lends itself to the throwback aesthetic, and then I curled my hair loosely to match. The Apple Watch takes this from costume to 2018 (and plus I can track my steps at work- sometimes I’ll get in 11k! Oh, retail).

I am all about the flares. Finally they’re back on trend and available to purchase. They’re super flattering, and I feel like for years you could only find skinny jeans. Sign me up for some fun bell bottoms!

While out and about in my high waisted flares, I tried a wedding cake flavored popsicle. Steel City Pops is now open on the Domain Northside, and their monthly special was the Amaretto Pop with white chocolate dip, raspberry sauce, and slivered almonds. It was GOOD!

I am glad I tried the flavor of the month instead of just going with what I like. It makes me feel a little more adventurous, and why not trust the curators who decided this flavor was good enough to highlight all month? It’s why I always like to try the weekly special at Velvet Taco, too.

What kind of popsicle would you order- creamy or fruity? I’m a creamy pop kinda girl.

Have an awesome week!
