Hey everyone!
I’m trying out a new skin routine lately. I’m only about two weeks in, but it’s going well so far. I am seeing some improvements in the overall look of my skin. I am still having a few small breakouts on my cheek and chin, but I’m sure the chin is hormonal and the cheek is because my phone is dirty af (how do you even clean an iphone? lol). Other than that, I think my skin looks much better and FEELS better.
MORNING ROUTINE:
✣ Wash face with either Philosophy face wash or Shea Moisture black soap (if I’m breaking out more, I’ll go with the black soap). I don’t know if the Philosophy one is really right for me, but I started using it at my aunt’s house and bought a big bottle afterwards… Now I’m using it up!
✣ Tone face with Thayer’s rose petal and aloe vera Witch Hazel. You should read the Amazon reviews for this stuff 😍. I’m excited!
✣ Once the witch hazel is dry, I pat on Vitamin C oil. I use Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum for Face 20% with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin E. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t irritate me at all. I pat it in with my fingers.
✣ Once the vitamin C dries, I apply my cerave moisturizing cream (the one in the tub.)
✣ Then sunblock! I use Biore UV Aqua Rich. If you’re not sure what sunscreen to use, you can check out this list.
Then I go on with my makeup routine.
NIGHT ROUTINE:
✣ Take off all my makeup with micellar water- I love this stuff. I used to use makeup remover wipes, but now I am obsessed with the Garnier micellar water with the pink cap.
✣ Tone with witch hazel.
✣ Apply vitamic C serum. Massage it in slowly.
✣ Apply Cerave cream. Massage it in slowly.
That’s it! I only just added the serum into my routine, and I know I can get way more into skincare than this. But if you need a nice basic routine that doesn’t cost a lot of money, this one uses proven products. I researched a lot before picking these products- I didn’t just grab things from Target.
What’s your skincare routine like? Let me know!
